Inflorescence.
Textures and colours. Shading and shadows. Form and furrows. Unfurling, uncurling, speckled, striped. The beauty of the flower knows no bounds. from the elegant standards and falls of bearded Irises to the tessellated tepals of fritillaries to the delicate markings and puckering of snowdrops. All things I hope to capture in my paintings.
